I received my Holiday VoxBox 2012 complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes. In this blog, I will be discussing the VoxBox contents. Some of the items I have tried out and some I haven't. I will update blog after I have been able to try out all the products listed.

Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal 

Made with whole grains oats, rye, barley and wheat mixed with large chunks of real fruit and nuts in a convenient single serve-cup.  Retails for $1.79. It comes in 4 flavors : Apple Walnut, Summer Berry, Peach Almond, and Cherry Pistachio. 

I have tried Apple Walnut and Summer Berry and both were delicious. I would definitely recommend this product to oatmeal and fruit lovers.

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine

It's pure pigment ingredients create a 3D gloss effect while Vitamin E provides shine and moisture. Non sticky. Available in 10 shades from neutral nudes, to berries, to fushias. Retails for $2.49.

I received this in Nude York City color. I am not a huge lip gloss fan. I personally like to wear lip stains. However, I will try it over my regular lip color and see if I like the shine and moisture it claims to provide.

Kiss Nail Dress

The ultimate nail fashion for tips and toes. Just peel, apply, and shape for a manicure that lasts up to a week. No topcoat needed. Nail Dress has it built in. Available in 21 different styles. Retails for $6.99.

I am excited to try these out on my toes.

Eboost will boost your mood, focus, and immunity with natural ingredients and no crash. Can buy them as a shot or an easy to mix powder. It comes in 4 flavors: Acai Pomegranate (as shown above), Pink Lemonade, Orange, or Super Berry. Retails for $28 for a box of  20 effervescent powders, $39 for a box of $30 effervescent powders, or $39 for a box of shots.

I am looking forward to trying this out. Who these days doesn't a boost? I like that it claims that it doesn't leave a crash following use. I  just hope that it doesn't make me jittery. So many of the products out on the market make me feel so nervous that I am afraid to try anything like this.

Go from wet to beautifully styled hair in less time. Super absorbent microfiber bristles removes up to 30% of water as you style. It's like a towel and a brush in one. Retails for $11.99

Honestly, I am a little skeptical of this product. My first thought is what is this brush going to do to my hair? My hair is gets static so bad  in the winter and the microfiber bristles looks like it would make my problem 10X worse. However,  I am keeping an open mind about it.

Sole Society

Sole Society allows you to discover the latest trends, share you personal style, recommend shoes to others, and follow curated collections of top fashion insiders.

I received a $25 coupon off my first purchase to Sole Society. I think this is a great idea for shoe lovers. I too love shoes but I don't think I personally will be using this website. First of all, I work in a hospital and wear athletic shoes 6 days a weeks. Second, when buying shoes, I have to try them on. I don't want to go to all the hassle of returning something if doesn't work out for me.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks

Jammed pack with the most delicious natural ingredients and are bursting with amazing fragrances. Retails for under $2.

I have personal experience with this product. Montagne Jeunesse have all kinds of masks such as muds, creams, peels, scrubs, self healing, face foods, non-drying, and more.  I love how great they make your face feel after using one. Not to mention that the smell of these products are super yummy!

My 9 year old black lab, Dog, is reaping the benefits of Eukanuba with 3D DentaDefense. I was fortunate to be a a part of Eukanuba with 3D DentaDefense BzzAgent campaign in which I received a complimentary bag for testing and review purposes in exchange for my honest opinion about the product. I also received a black light to use on my dog's teeth in order to see plaque and tarter prior to using the Eukanuba with 3D DentaDefense. Unfortunately, my dog was terrified of the black light and would not let me use it on his teeth but he did let me just look at them and honestly I didn't need the black light to tell me that my dog had a serious plaque and tartar problem.
My dog has now been using the Eukanuba with 3D DentaDefense for about 5 weeks now. I have noticed that his coat is shiner and his teeth look whiter. He even seems to have more energy lately which is nice because he has slowed down considerably over the last two years.
The only real con to this food is the price. For a 30 lb bag for large breed dogs, it would cost me $43.00 at my local pet store. Although my dog is totally worth it, in today's economy we are trying to cut back.
Overall, I would recommend Eukanuba with 3D Defense because it does work by getting your dog's teeth cleaner but be aware of the cost.

Dell 1355cnw Multifunction Color Printer BzzAgent Review

I was ecstatic get an invite to the Dell printer BzzAgent campaign. I really need a new printer for my office so I jumped at the chance to get a new one. This campaign gave me the chance to tell all my co-workers about the perks of being a BzzAgent plus show off my new Dell laser printer. The following information is what I shared with my wonderful co-workers:

First of all, there were 5 different Dell printers that were available to choose from. BzzAgent provided me with a 50% off discount code towards the printer of my choice. I choose the Dell 1355cnw Multifunction Color Printer which regularly costs $419 but after Dell's sale price and my BzzAgent discount, I got it for $150 which included free shipping. Most of my co-workers thought that was pretty awesome deal, including myself!

Next, everyone wanted to know what can the printer do and do I like it? My thoughts on the computer is that overall I really do like it. Listed below are my pros and cons about the Dell 1355cnw Multifunction Color Printer that were discussed with my co-workers.

Pros:
1. It can print, fax, copy, and scan.

2. It is small enough that it can fit easily on my desk.

3. Easy to use. Dell's instruction manual was thorough and simple to follow.


4. The print quality is excellent. Colors are vivid and rich.

5. It is wireless so there aren't cords hanging and dangling everywhere.

Cons:

1. The printer claims to be exceptionally fast. I found it to be a  little bit slower than what I am use to.

2. Cartridges- there are 4 different cartridges. A black one and 3 colored cartridges. You can choose between a 700 page or 1400 page cartrige. The prices are as followed:

Black Cartridge:
700 page-$39
1400 page-$70

Color Cartridges
700 page-$50
1400 page- $70

As you can see, this can get expensive quickly, especially if you print a lot of reports that have color in them.

Overall, I am pleased with my Dell 1355cnw. I would recommend it to family and friends. I feel that most of my co-workers liked the printer but their main concern was the cost of 4 printer cartridges.

I received a coupon to try UNREAL Candy complimentary of BzzAgent for testing purposes in exchange for my honest opinion about the product.

First of all, I had never heard about UNREAL Candy before I was invited into this BzzAgent campaign. So when I began reading about what UNREAL Candy was all about I had my doubts. I mean how can a candy bar that claims to have a low glycemic index, no artificial flavors, no corn syrup, no partially hydrogenated oils, no GMO's, and no preservatives taste good. However, I was eager to try it out to say the least.

 I went to my local CVS and found 3 types. The first one was called UNREAL 41 which is similar to plain M&M's The second kind I found was UNREAL 54 which is similar to peanut M&M's. The last kind I found was called UNREAL 77 which is similar to Reese's Peanut Butter cups. I bought all three kinds. I have to admit that they all tasted amazing!! They taste just like M&M's and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Even my 4 and 8 year old loved them and that is saying a lot. It really is hard to believe that they don't have all the junk in them like most candy on the market these days but still manage to have a great flavor. Furthermore, at my local CVS , UNREAL candy is resonably priced at $1.19 each or 2 for $2.00. I personally am willing to pay a little bit more for a candy bar knowing that it is a healthier candy option for me and my family. I will definitely be buying more UNREAL candy in the future.

COVERGIRL + Olay BzzAgent Review

I was super excited when I was chosen by BzzAgent to receive a complimentary full sized product of Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation and Covergirl and Olay Pressed Powder for testing and review purposes. I am a huge fan of Covergirl and Olay products so to be able to try out a product that contains two of my favorites in one, I was over the moon.

So let me start with the  COVERGIRL and Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation. Teh first thing I noticed was how cute the foundation container was. It reminds of a barber pole but in the colors brown and white. It contains a pump which dispenses the foundation easily. I really like the pump feature because it way less messier than most foundations on the market that have just a screw lid.

Next, I just love how this product seems to glide across my skin. I can honestly say I have never had a product go on so smoothly before. This makes it super easy to blend into my skin. It doesn't feel heavy and gives me a great natural look. I also found that this product did not exaggerate the fine lines around my eyes like other products that I have used in the past which is huge plus in my book!

Now onto the to the Covergirl and Olay Pressed Powder. It comes in a nice looking container. The only problem I had is that I think I got a defected one. It doesn't stay closed which really gets irritating. However, as far as the product itself goes, I really like it. I don't care for the applicator puff that came with it but I bought a powder brush that works just fine. It goes on smoothly and covers well.

I will definitely buy these two product in the future and would recommend it to the ladies!!

I have been spreading the news to all my girlfriends and family members about Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution Lightweight Frizz Control that I received complimentary of BzzAgent for testing and review purposes.
I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about trying this product. After shaking it "activate" the solution, it had a cloudy oily appearance to it. I have used frizz control products in the past and they have left my hair greasy and sticky feeling afterwards so I really had my doubts after the activation process. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the results. The solution is lightweight and went on my hair smoothly. My hair was easy to style and left it virtually frizz free.
Many were surprised to know that Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution could be found at most major retailers for around $9.99. I passed out all eight samples and have received great feedback. Most are impressed with how soft and manageable their hair was after using it. Everyone I talked to had less frizz if not any frizz at all!!

I really liked my BIC Soleil Savvy razor. Over the years, I have tried many different brands and types of razors. As a woman who shaves her legs daily, I found that mens' razors typically last longer and achieve a closer shave than most womens' razors. So, I was pleasantly surprised with the BIC Soleil Savvy results I got after using them. The handle is comfortable to hold and I was able to maneuver it fairly quickly without cutting myself multiple times like I do with a mens' razor. My legs were super smooth after using the razor which I didn't quite expect with it only being a triple-blade head. I was able to use the blade for about 10days before needing to replace it which in my opinion I wished it was a little longer. The only con I really have with razor is the lubricating strip. To me it felt very dry, thus the shave didn't feel as comfortable as I am use to with a razor.

Overall, I liked the BIC Soleil Savvy Razor and will consider buying it again in the future.

Dino Lingo

I am an Influenster (bbwife31). I did not personally get a copy of the DVD set to preview but I was able to check out a Dino Lingo Lesson via a link provided complimentary by Influenster for testing and review purposes.  The lesson I viewed was in Spanish and taught numbers and the names of several animals. What a great way for young children to learn a language. It shows both animation and real images which I think is important. The animation is very colorful to capture your child's attention. They speak very clearly and repeat the words several times so that it easy enough for a small child to understand. Even as an adult I enjoyed the lesson and learned a few things as well.

Furthermore, with Dino Lingo programs, children learn a language through imagination with their fun cartoons, DVD's, CD's, books, posters, games, songs and flash cards.  I think the variety of different activities they provide will help keep the kiddos from getting bored  resulting in faster language development.

I think this is a great product. I would recommend it to other parents of young children as a language teaching tool.

The Dark Monk: A Hangman's Tale by Oliver Pötzsch 

I was fortunate enough to receive kindle versions of the The Hangman's Daughter and the Dark Monk complimentary of BzzAgent for testing and review purposes. The Dark Monk is the follow-up sequel to the Hangman's Daughter. Without giving too much away, the book is set in the 17th century and is a "whodunit" mystery mixed in with a little bit of a star crossed lovers romance. I personally am not big on historical reads but I love mysteries and this book kept my attention and left me wanting more.

The only con I found with the book is that there is a lot of characters which could be confusing at time but overall I really enjoyed the book. Two thumbs up!!

I would venture to say that most people have heard about Ivory Soap sometime in their lifetime. I know I was personally raised on it and still to this day am an avid user. What I love about Ivory is that it has always been 99.4% pure. (How many other soap brands can claim that). It is free of dyes and perfumes and is gentle on your skin yet very effective as a cleaner. I love the way my skin feels after cleansing with Ivory. My face and body feel so soft and smooth after using it. But did you know that there is literally thousands of different ways Ivory soap can be used? Well I know I didn't until recently. I received a free bar of Ivory soap complimentary of Influenster and Ivory for testing purposes as a participant in the MomVox campaign in exchange for my honest opinion about the product. Influenster has challenged its Ivory Soap users to explore different ways of using the product than just the normal body and face washing. So today I am going to share some creative  uses for Ivory Soap. 

First, a way I use Ivory Soap is as leather cleaner. You can do this on leather furniture but I personally use it on my leather purses. I

To Clean Leather:

1. Dampen a lint-free cloth with water. Do not use hot water as this can damage the leather. 

2. Rub a Ivory soap bar onto the damp cloth A small amount of soap is enough to clean most stains.

3. Use a circular motion and rub the sponge onto the stain.

4. Dampen a clean cloth and use it to remove any trace of soap from the leather . Let the leather air dry.

To Soften Hands and Cuticles:

1. Shave half a bar of Ivory soap into a bow1. 

2. Pour in a 1/2 cup of hot water

3. Stir in 2 Tsps. of olive oil and let cool. 

4. This makes a cream that be rubbed around the nails will cleanse and soften 

your hands and cuticles.

For Keeping Fingernails Clean while Working in a Garden:

This one may seem a little strange for some. But for those of us who like to 

garden and hate to wear gloves either because they feel too bulky on our hands or because 

our hands get to hot, this may be a solution:

1. Run bar of Ivory soap under warm water.

2. Then rub the bar of soap under fingernails so that the soap gets under the nails. This fills the space under the nails so dirt won't get

Bubbles:

1. Shave 1/4 bar of Ivory soap

2. Dissolve in a quart of warm water

3. Add 2 drops of glycerin

3. Shake gently

Grab some bubble blowers and the kiddos are set.

Other uses for Ivory soap include making kids paint, as laundry detergent and a stain remover, furniture polish, candles, hanging wallpaper, ect

Like I stated before there are many ways that Ivory soap can be used. These are just a few of the ones that I have personally tried. It is easy to find in stores such as Walmart and Target as well as any major grocery, dollar and drug store. A 10-pack of Ivory bath bar soap retails for around $4.49 so it is pretty inexpensive if you feel like trying out some different ways to use Ivory soap. You never know you might discover that something new that works better than your usual way!!
